THE ETERNAL MESSAGE

All the Great Teachers
Have taught since ages
The essence of all Faiths
Leading to same oneness

Man still ignorant
Paying no heed to The Message
Has kept himself cocooned
In his own fanciful rage

Oh man of loving nature
This is not your way
Your life is so precious
Don’t waste it as nay

Look at the beautiful flowers
Or even at the deadly beasts
Do they‘ve any religion?
The followers or the Priests?

The flowers and the beasts
Unfortunate, still, are they
For the want of religion
To whom shall they pray?

Sages and prophets of the yore
Found the religions with care
Oh lucky son of the Lord
Follow the one in your share

Differences which you see
In religions or in castes
Aren’t created by the Lord
But your own fanciful thoughts

Be proud of your Path
Have respect for other Faiths
Love thy brothren, one and all
For harmony is your real trait

Remember this Eternal Message
In the days of religious unrest
Don’t let the devil rouse
An optimist brings you this request

Dear Kashmir

Dear Kashmir! Kashmir!!

Full of vigour and charm
Nature’s dream it has been
Kashmir or the heaven on earth
That’s what Galib, in her, had seen

How sad, today in this heaven
Heavenly dwellers becoming demons
What they want to prove after all?
Galib was wrong, or knew nothing at all?

In this beautiful Kashmir
A valley of flower beds
Day in day out we read
Scores ‘nd scores of the dead

This very place of ‘Jannat’
Which taught us, what love is?
The seeds of enmity having grown
Making the scene distressing

I wonder, what‘ll happen of thee
Oh Queen of natural beauties
Would the DAL dry-up or GULMARG wither
In the clutches of “anti-naturalists”

My heart beats for you, Oh dear,
For the condition in which you drear
Our ‘netas’ blabbering on and on
But action on their part seems rare

Nevertheless, the optimist in me
Has helped blossom my confidence
In days to come, you‘d regain your glory
As Galib’s heaven ‘nd beauty stupendous
